For adults · Using AI at work and at home
Everyday AI
Get real work out of AI, and know when it is wrong.
For adults who have opened ChatGPT, got something vague back, and closed it again. The accountant who has heard it can do the spreadsheet. The teacher marking at midnight. The parent whose kids use it and who wants to know what it actually is. Ten sessions on getting real work out of AI, the email, the report, the forty-page PDF, the research, and on checking what comes back before you send it. No coding, no levels, no age limit. You leave with an assistant you built for one job you do every week, and the habits to trust it.
10 sessions90 minutes each · no coding · no levels · any age
- Group size
- Six people per instructor, capped. Everyone gets asked what they are actually working on.
- Where to start
- At the start. There are no levels and no placement. Everyone begins at session one, whatever they already know, and the small group means nobody waits for anyone.
- What to bring
- Your own laptop if you have one; ours if not. You will need your own accounts on the tools, and the free tiers are enough for the whole course. Part of the first session is setting them up properly, including the privacy settings that matter.
The stations
What the ten sessions cover.
One session a week on one habit, practised on your own real work. Bring the actual email, the actual report. There are no levels and nothing to pass. The course ends with something you use on Monday.
Who it is for
Anyone who uses a computer for their job or their life and wants AI in it without feeling foolish. A 43-year-old accountant who wants it for the work. A 50-year-old who has been told it is easy and found that it is not. A manager whose team already uses it and who would like to know what they are signing off. No technical background assumed, and none needed. If you can write an email, you can do this course.
How it runs
One habit a session, practised on your own real work (bring the actual email, the actual report, the actual spreadsheet), and something usable at the end of every session. Nothing to pass, nothing to memorise.
What you leave with
A personal AI toolkit: an assistant you built for one job you do every week, the handful of prompts you actually use, and a checking habit that means you can send what it gives you.

What It Actually Is
Session 1Predicting the next word, on paper, before anyone opens a chatbot. What that explains about every strange answer you have ever had from one, and the settings worth changing on day one.
The Brief
Session 2Vague in, vague out. The same task asked five ways (role, context, example, format, constraints) and exactly what changed each time.
Catching It Out
Session 3Making it invent a fact, a statute and a citation on purpose, then catching each one. Checking as a habit rather than a hope.
Writing
Session 4Emails, reports, proposals, the difficult message. Getting a first draft in a minute and putting your own voice back into it in five.
Documents & Data
Session 5The forty-page PDF, the meeting recording, the spreadsheet. Summaries that are actually right, and how to prove it before you forward them.
Research
Session 6When a search engine beats a chatbot and when it doesn't. Deep-research tools, sources you can click, and the question to ask before trusting any of it.
Images, Voice & Video
Session 7Making a picture, a slide and a voiceover for a real purpose, and the tells that give a generated one away, because you will be sent one.
Privacy & Judgement
Session 8What you can paste into a model and what you cannot: client data, colleagues, your own records. Company policy, the settings that matter, and the plain rule to follow when there is no policy.
Your Own Assistant
Session 9One job you do every week, turned into an assistant with its own instructions. Built in the session, then tested by the person next to you.
The Toolkit
Session 10Your assistant, your prompts and your checklist, presented to the room and taken home. The course ends with something you use on Monday.
The other lines
And for the 12–18 year olds.
Two Saturday courses, three levels each, six students to an instructor. Plenty of the adults on Everyday AI have a child on one of these.
